Ever since writing a blog post about the best sweet treats in London, I’ve been thinking about writing this one. If any city can compete with the amazing array of sugary snacks on offer in the English capital, it’s NYC: famous for sugar emporiums like the M&M store and Dylan’s Candy Bar, this is the city of cupcakes, cookies and doughnuts galore. A foodie guide to the best gelato in Rome

When in Rome, they say, do as the Romans do. In my case, this roughly translates to eat as the Romans eat, a commandment that I am all too happy to oblige when visiting the Italian capital: any excuse to start a strict diet of coffee, pizza, pasta and gelato. However, in a city seemingly overflowing with gorgeous cafes, restaurants and gelaterias at every turn, it can be hard to choose where to go, and even harder to avoid the more touristy spots and seek out the true local gems. Never fear: here at a foodie guide we’ve done the hard work for you (you’re welcome) and scouted out the best gelaterias in the city. The weekend files: April edition

With the arrival of spring, sunnier skies and rising temperatures, the first weekend in April was the perfect excuse to make the most of the welcome weather change and explore more of London. A foodie guide to 24 hours in Boston

Boston is not only one of the most historic cities in the US, but one of the most exciting. Old and new lie comfortably side by side here, a city which played host to some of the key events of the American Revolution but that also boasts a strong sporting tradition, world-class shopping and two of the best universities in the world in the form of Harvard and MIT. With a compact city centre made up of leafy cobblestone streets, Boston is tremendously walkable, meaning even with a short time in the city, visitors can get a feel for what makes Boston so unique.  However, one of the most thrilling aspects of exploring Boston is investigating its food scene, something which has gone from strength to strength in recent years and gained the city quite a foodie following. Yep, whether you’re after pizza or prosecco, cheese or chocolate, whittling down your choices can be quite the challenge, never mind fitting them into a limited itinerary if you’re visiting for a short time.
